A public form is an open door: any program can push it a thousand times a day. This module closes the three doors of your shop — contact, account creation, forgotten password — without making your customers decipher pictures of traffic lights.

The problem

Your inbox fills with automated messages. Fake accounts are created in series. Password reset requests go out to addresses that are not yours. This is not an attack: it is the background noise of the internet, and it costs time every single day.

What it protects, exactly

The contact form.
Customer account creation.
The password reset request.

And nothing else: not the checkout, not the payment, not an existing customer signing in. A customer who is buying must never meet an obstacle.

No puzzle for your customers

Turnstile does not ask anyone to spot pedestrian crossings. In the vast majority of cases the visitor does nothing at all: the check is silent. That is the difference from the protections of ten years ago, which lost you customers.

The emergency switch

If the service does not answer, you decide in advance what happens: let through, or block. By default, let through — an outage at Cloudflare must not stop a customer from writing to you.
