Database housekeeping
- PrestaShop 9.0.0.0 to 9.99.99 · PHP 8.1+ (v3.1.1)
- PrestaShop 1.7.0.0 to 8.99.99 (v2.1.1)
A three-year-old shop drags along hundreds of thousands of rows that serve no purpose: carts never checked out, robot visits, old statistics, abandoned caches. The site slows down, backups take longer. This module does the housekeeping — and nothing else.
What is NEVER touched
This is the most important point, so it comes first. The module works from a whitelist: it knows only a limited number of tables, all technical, and it is unable to touch the others. That is not a marketing promise, it is a constraint written into the code.
- Your products, combinations, prices and stock.
- Your orders and their history, your invoices and credit slips.
- Your customers and their addresses.
- Your categories, pages, translations and product images.
- Your modules and their settings, your theme and your customisations.
- Your carriers, taxes, price rules and running promotions.
- The customer file folders, and your configuration file.
What it cleans
Carts abandoned beyond an age you set, old connections and page views, search statistics, expired tokens, technical caches and logs, temporary images.
One precision that matters, and the only exception to the list above: one task, which you can switch off, deletes specific prices whose end date has passed by the number of days you set. A running promotion, a promotion with no end date and your price rules are never deleted. We would rather tell you plainly than let you find out.
Three locks
- It cannot delete a file outside the three permitted technical folders — even if it had a bug.
- It never touches PrestaShop's container folders, whose deletion would break the back office.
- It shows you what it intends to do before doing it, and you keep or drop each item.
It slows nothing down
The module hooks into no display position: its effect on the speed of the pages your visitors see is strictly nil. It only works when you ask it to, or when the scheduled task triggers it.
It calls no outside program
Everything is PHP and SQL. That is what guarantees it runs on an ARM server, on shared hosting, or on a storage box at home.
What it is not
It is not a cache module, not an accelerator, not a backup tool. Make a backup before the first run: that is true of any operation on a database, and this module is no exception.
What you get, depending on your shop
This module comes in 2 versions, one per major PrestaShop release. You get them all: one purchase, one licence, and you pick the file when you download.
- Version 3.1.1 — PrestaShop 9.0.0.0 to 9.99.99, PHP 8.1 or above.
- Version 2.1.1 — PrestaShop 1.7.0.0 to 8.99.99, no PHP requirement.
Your customer account lists every version with its limits spelled out, and highlights the one matching your shop. Nothing stops you taking the other: if you are preparing a migration, or working on several sites, it is there, on the same licence.
