Your YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo and Dailymotion videos on your product pages. You paste an address, the video appears. And until the visitor clicks, your page calls no platform and sets no tracker: it loads faster, and you stay compliant without an extra consent banner.

Paste an address, and the video is there

You filmed your workshop, a customer posted a TikTok featuring your product, your supplier put a demonstration on YouTube. You copy the address from your browser bar, you paste it, and the video appears on the product page.

YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo and Dailymotion are recognised. For YouTube every form of address works: the long one, the short one, a Short, a live stream, and even the full embed code if you paste it as it is.

Your page calls nobody before the click

The usual method is to paste a frame pointing at YouTube. That frame loads along with the page, whether the visitor watches the video or not. YouTube is therefore called every time the page opens, it knows who came by, and it sets its trackers.

This module works differently. By default no frame is placed until the visitor clicks: your product page calls neither YouTube, nor TikTok, nor anyone, and no outside tracker is set. Three consequences: the page loads faster, it stays compliant without an extra consent banner, and moving to the platform becomes an act of the visitor.

Nothing you paste comes back out in your pages

The module stores no address and no embed code. From what you paste it keeps two things: the platform name and the video number. The frame shown on the shop is then rebuilt from those two values, every time.

What comes out is therefore never what went in. There is no path by which code pasted into a field could end up in one of your pages.

Player addresses can be changed

A platform can change its player address overnight, and it warns nobody. If that address were written into the code, you would have to wait for a new version of the module. Here it is fixed in thirty seconds in the configuration, and your stored videos start working again at once, since they hold no address.

A thumbnail made by your own server

The thumbnail is the image seen before clicking. It is optional, and recommended. The one you upload is read back, checked, resized and re-encoded: the file written to disk is made on the spot, never copied. A script disguised as a photo does not survive the operation, and neither does the location data hidden in photos taken on a phone.

The output format is WebP when the server can produce it, otherwise JPEG. The configuration page shows what your server actually does, rather than what the host advertises.

Where the video shows, and in what shape

  • In a tab on the product page, below the description, or below the images: your choice.
  • 16 / 9 frame, 9 / 16 for TikTok or a Short, 4 / 3 or square.
  • One to four videos per row. On a phone, always one.
  • The play button colour follows your theme.

The daily gesture

A screen in the Catalogue menu lists every video, with the add form at the top. The back-office product page carries a tab showing what is in place and leading to the same screen, with the product number already filled in. A video that is no longer current is hidden with one click without being lost, and comes back the same way. A deleted product takes its own with it, thumbnails included.

What it does not do

  • It does not host video: your files stay with the platform.
  • It fetches nothing from them, not the title, not the duration, not the preview image. Your server never talks to them.
  • It does not accept TikTok short links, which do not carry the video number. It says so, rather than storing something unusable.
  • It does not attach a video to a combination or a category: a video belongs to a product.
  • It adds no fields to the PrestaShop product form, which has changed three times in three major versions. A link, on the other hand, lasts.

Installation

Upload, install, choose the location and the frame shape. Five minutes. A complete manual comes with the module: every setting is explained, with a whole chapter on common symptoms and what to do about each one.
